Activities & Events at Pendragon
At Pendragon, basketball is at the heart of what we do, but being part of our club means much more than just playing the game. Throughout the year, we organize a wide variety of activities where sports, fun, and friendship come together. From student events to our own unique traditions, there’s always something to look forward to as a Pendragon member.
Tilburg University Cantus
Pendragon is always well represented at the Tilburg University Cantus. Together with around 2,800 students, we sing, drink, and celebrate in true student spirit. A cantus is a traditional Dutch student event where participants gather to enjoy classic songs and plenty of beer. This is an experience you don’t want to miss.
Cycling Dinner
At the start of each season, we kick things off with our famous Cycling Dinner. Members hop on their bikes and enjoy a three-course meal, with each dish prepared at a different member’s home. Of course, food is accompanied by plenty of drinks and good vibes. Afterwards, we head into the city center to keep the party going.
End-of-Season BBQ
We wrap up the year with our End-of-Season BBQ, a perfect moment to look back on the highlights of the season while enjoying great food and a relaxed summer atmosphere. It’s a chance to reflect on our sporting successes and relive a season filled with great events and activities. With everyone gathered one last time before the summer break, the BBQ is always one of the most memorable events of the year.
International Tournament (IT)
One of the highlights every year is the annual International Tournament! What traditionally started as a full tournament weekend has now transformed into a vibrant tournament day full of basketball, fun activities, drinks, and plenty of socializing. Throughout the day, teams compete on court while enjoying the lively atmosphere off court.
Great Dutch Student Championships (GNSK)
The GNSK is the largest annual multisport event for students from Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences. Naturally, Pendragon is there too, competing for the national basketball title. Each year, GNSK takes place in a different student city, combining sports, camping and unforgettable parties.
March Madness
Inspired by the American March Madness tradition, we yearly host our very own March Madness! Expect tournaments and exciting challenges such as a midcourt shot contest, a three-point competition, and a lottery with amazing prizes. An evening full of competition, fun, and team spirit.
3×3 Tournaments
3×3 basketball is booming worldwide and within Pendragon it’s becoming increasingly popular too. Our 3×3 tournaments are the perfect way to experience basketball in a new way while playing with teammates and friends.
Heroes Den Bosch Games
Sometimes we leave the court ourselves and head out to watch basketball at the highest level. From time to time, Pendragon members go to see Heroes Den Bosch play. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy top-level basketball and pick up inspiration.
